Personal Story
I’m from Doncaster and proud of my English and Indian roots. Like many people, life has brought its share of challenges — including personal and family experiences of domestic abuse, teenage pregnancy, racial bullying, work-related stress, grief, financial hardship, physical and mental health struggles, body dysmorphia, and eating disorders.
These experiences, while difficult, have shaped who I am and inspired me to train as a counsellor. They allow me to bring genuine empathy and understanding to my work, offering down-to-earth support that is grounded in both lived experience and professional training.
What I value most is helping people of all ages feel heard, understood, and supported — always with a message of hope that things can change.
When I’m not counselling, I love the simple pleasures in life — cooking and entertaining, walking my dog along the beautiful Chesterfield Canal, and spending quality time with my partner, family, and friends.
